New York Apparel Industry Minimum Wage Poster

Employers in the apparel industry must display the New York Department of Labor issued New York Apparel Industry Wage Order in a conspicuous location where it can be viewed by all employees.

Apparel industry is defined in the law (NY CLS Labor Article 12-A §340) as the making, cutting, sewing, finishing, assembling, pressing or otherwise producing, by any of the foregoing apparel industry services, any men’s, women’s, children’s or infants’ apparel, or a section or component of apparel, designed or intended to be worn by any individual which is to be sold or offered for sale, provided, however, that the apparel industry shall not include cleaning or tailoring after the apparel has been sold at retail.”

• Minimum wage rates for Long Island and Westchester Counties
• Minimum wage rates for the rest of New York State
• Information on credits, allowances, extra pay including overtime and other rules
